Hi, I’m David.

Responsible Individual

I talk with a Brummie accent, I like food, cooking, travelling, wildlife, music, comedy and my dogs.  I have been a foster carer for 15 years, and love helping young people achieve their rightful place in society.

We want each home to be the best of the best. I am so proud of what we have achieved.

A few things about me

What might you learn quite quickly?
Probably learn quickly that I am seen as the Grandad (which I don’t mind!) of the house, rock to lean on, someone to talk to, and I enjoy taking them out and having fun, plus the odd ice cream and hot chocolate!

What do I love about this job?
The camaraderie shown to and by everyone is truly lovely to be part of, and seeing our children prosper in our care is heartwarming, and fills me with pride.

What does love-led care mean to me?
Seeing our children happy and enjoying being children. Playing with their friends. Learning new skills, holidays, and being loved all the time no matter what.  But above all, helping them fulfil a life which they really enjoy and will remember for ever.

Children who live with us should know they will be loved, no matter what
