Sussex Children’s Care
SCC was formed in 2020, by David and Daniel, with a dream to opening their first home. In 2021, Manty’s House became their first home and the journey to Ofsted registration began. In late 2021, Manty’s House became Sussex Children’s Care first registered children’s home. In October 2022, Manty’s House was graded as Oustanding in all areas by Ofsted.
Working alongside David and Daniel are a highly qualified care team who are committed to providing the children and young people with the highest quality of care, with a passion to provide children and young people with a loving and nurturing home.
What we do
We believe all children deserve to feel loved and as such put this at the centre of our care. We provide loving, nurturing homes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We have created small and effective homes with an emphasis on creating homely and nurturing environments, with a qualified team alongside working with specialists.
We accept children and young people with varying degrees of need, and will place them accordingly to ensure they have appropriate level of care, love, nurture and support to meet their individual needs.
Adults working in the home
We do not use the term “staff” in our home, the children and young people are supported by “Adults”. Adults working in the home receive regular comprehensive training that includes attaining internationally recognised certification in Safeguarding, Attachment, Positive behaviour support, Trauma and much more. They receive on-going supervision and professional development designed to ensure ethical, reflective and effective care. The adult’s development is paramount and the quality of our adults is vital to ensuring the children and young people are supported professionally, to achieve positive outcomes.
