Sussex Children's Care creates small children's homes where children are known, valued and genuinely cared about.
We believe children need safety, stability and skilled adults around them. But they also need relationships. They need adults who notice them, remember what matters, stay alongside them when things are difficult and make home feel like somewhere they belong.
We call this Love-Led Practice.
What does love look like in a children's home?
Being noticed.
Someone remembers how you like your hot chocolate, the song you can't stop playing, or that today might be a difficult day.
Being wanted.
Knowing the adults around you are pleased to see you, not simply there to complete a shift.
Being able to get it wrong.
Having a really difficult day and discovering we're still here tomorrow.
Being celebrated.
Not just birthdays and big achievements. The tiny things that nobody else might notice.
Being able to repair.
Knowing that things can go wrong between us without the relationship disappearing.
